High-Performance Computing Engineer (experienced)
Job Description:
Midas Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and skilled High-Performance Computing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing high-performance computing (HPC) systems to support our quantitative trading and research operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement high-performance computing systems to support complex quantitative trading and research operations.
- Collaborate closely with our trading and quantitative research teams to understand their computational requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
- Optimize existing HPC systems for performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Conduct ongoing performance testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting of HPC systems.
- Stay current with advancements in HPC technologies and apply this knowledge to drive continuous improvement.
- Provide technical support and training for users of the HPC environment.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience with high-performance computing, parallel computing, or distributed systems.
- Proficiency in C++, Python, and Bash.
- Experience with workload manager such as PBS Pro, Torque, and Slurm.
- Experience with low-latency and high-throughput system design and optimization.
- Experience with distributed storage technologies.
- Familiarity with quantitative methods or experience working in a quantitative environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within a diverse team environment.
- Fluency in English.
