Algorithmic Trader-Engineer Intern
The role
You’ll own a venue pod — such as an index-futures book, a commodities-futures book, or an options book on a specific venue — researching, building, and operating the intraday strategies that trade it. You work alongside senior trader-engineers on adjacent pods and the systems engineers who build the C++ infrastructure underneath.
What you’ll do
- Own a venue pod (e.g., index futures, commodities futures, ETF options)
- Operate and monitor live strategies during market hours
- Research and validate ideas from market and execution data
- Design, build, and deploy strategy improvements to production
- Improve the internal tooling your pod depends on
What we’re looking for
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, with an expected graduation date in 2027 or 2028
- Proficient in Python or C++
- Comfortable working in a Linux environment with Git and shell scripting
- Strong quantitative reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Legally authorized to work in the People’s Republic of China
What we offer
- Opportunity to receive a full-time offer upon successful completion of the internship
- Stipend starting from RMB 2,000 per day
- Meals on working days
- Relocation assistance, where applicable
